Thank you for taking time to look over our information. We are Timothy and Stephanie Germano, and we are missionaries serving the Lord in the Dominican Republic. We are sent out of Faith Community Baptist Church in Downingtown, PA through the World Wide New Testament Baptist Mission.
We both were blessed and had the privilege to be reared in a Christian home. I was raised in Carrollton, VA by my parents John and Beth. I was saved through the faithful witness of my Kindergarten teacher when I was six years old. The Lord began burdening my heart for His service when I was twelve, and I surrendered to His calling of missions at the age of fourteen. While in college, the Lord again placed a burden for the Dominican Republic on my heart which began in 2002 after I had taken a short term mission’s trip to that country. After graduation, the Lord led me to serve as the youth pastor of Faith Community Baptist Church in Downingtown, PA for three years.
Stephanie was raised in a pastor’s home and grew up in Virginia and North Carolina. Following a great physical trial faced by her mother, Stephanie placed her trust in the Lord through the witness of her father when she was a child. In her senior year, she surrendered to God’s call to missions on her life. We were married shortly after graduating together in January 2011. The Lord has blessed us with two children: Landon John in January 2013 and Elena Lisa in November 2014.
We traveled full time on deputation between August 2013 and July 2015. After setting things in order for our arrival, we moved to the Dominican Republic on October 28, 2015. We served alongside Ron and Chona Autrey, veteran missionaries in the country for 30 years during our first term. Bro. Autrey started the New Life Baptist Church 18 years ago, and he is reaching the city and country through the ministries of the church, New Life Christian Academy, and Resurrection Baptist Seminary.
In May 2019, we arrived back in the States to begin our first furlough. We visited almost all of our supporting churches as well as a number of new ones. Due to the Corona virus pandemic, our scheduled return was changed from April 2020 to August 2020. We returned to the Dominican Republic in August 2020, and we are currently making preparations to move to the city of Barahona to plant a church.
