From September 24-28, we were able to return and be with Dr. Sebrell and Hampton Roads Independent Baptist Church for their annual mission conference. We always feel so welcomed and blessed attending services with them. We enjoyed our time with the church, other missionaries, and Pastor Louis Baldwin. We had the privilege of teaching, presenting, and sharing about the work. At the end of the conference, the church voted to partner with us financially. Praise the Lord!

From October 4-8, we took part in the mission conference at New Life Baptist Church in White Marsh, MD. Pastor Brewer and the church family were so excited about the conference, and they took wonderful care of us. We taught, presenting, sang, and preached throughout the week. On the last night, the church agreed to support us financially in the coming months. We are so thankful how God takes care of His children.

We are now at 62% of our need monthly support, and we have seen over 72% of our outfit and passage fund come in to date! It is amazing to look back and see what God has done!

From September 6-10, we traveled north to take part in the mission conference at Grace and Truth Bible Church in Hummelstown, PA. Pastor Norton and the church were so excited to host the missionary families and to hear about the work. We enjoyed being able to take part in the Saturday picnic, Sunday presentations, Monday preaching, and Tuesday teaching.

On September 14, the Germanos headed south to Jefferson City, TN to take part in the services at Faith Baptist Church. It was a blessing to us from the moment we walked in when we were greeted by name and told that we were prayed for in anticipation for the meeting. Pastor Cross graciously hosted us and allowed us to present the work and preach.

From September 16-17, our schedule took us east to Elizabeth City, NC to be with Missionary Dalton Heath and Victory Baptist Church. Pastor Parker and the church took wonderful care of us. It is always a blessing to hear and spend time with Bro. Dalton and Mrs. Heath. We enjoyed sharing our testimony, presenting, and teaching in the school chapel.

On September 20, we drove east to Baskerville, VA to Bethel Baptist Church. The weather was beautiful for the church’s annual fall picnic. It was a great time of fellowship with the church family. On Sunday, Tim was able to present, teach, and preach to the church. We were thankful to spend time with Pastor Earl Hester, father to Pastor John Hester at one of our supporting churches in Virginia, and his wife throughout the weekend.

We praise His name for the three souls we have seen saved in the last few weeks as well as many putting their faith in action through sharing the gospel. Later this week we will receive our new monthly support report. Also, thank you for your continued prayers for Stephanie and the baby during this pregnancy.

On Wednesday, August 20, Grace Community Baptist Fellowship in Ramseur, NC invited us to come and present the work at their midweek prayer meeting. It is always a joy to speak about the work in the Dominican Republic as well as preach. Pastor Greene was a gracious host, and the children of the church had many great questions about the DR.

On Sunday, August 24, we headed for our first Georgia meeting in Rutledge. We were excited to meet Philadelphia Baptist Church and Pastor Love. Tim was able to teach the adult Sunday school class as well as preach the evening service. Our hearts were encouraged and challenged also by our host family who were veteran missionaries to Japan for many years.

On Sunday, August 31, we drove to Lexington, NC to be with Currytown Baptist Church. It was refreshing having a time of fellowship with Pastor McDaniel and his family. At the end of the evening service after presenting the ministry, the church voted to take us on and had a time of prayer around our family at the altar.

It is truly a blessing to travel on the deputation trail as we have come in contact with and befriended many fellow believers all along the east coast. We are at 58% support with two more churches coming alongside us financially in the past three days! Praise the Lord!

It is hard to believe that we began full-time deputation one year ago. The time has flown by. We hope that you enjoy the video update highlighting what God has done in the past months of traveling. We echo the words of the psalmist, “This is the LORD’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes”.

On Sunday, August 10, we headed to Kinston, NC to be with New Testament Baptist Church. En route, it was a joy to worship with Faith Baptist in Columbia, NC. Pastor Daniel and New Testament were such gracious hosts and took great care of us even in the midst of a busy weekend at the church. We enjoyed being able to present and preach as well as meet this sweet congregation. The following day we drove back to Virginia to see our newest addition on ultrasound. We are excited to announce that we are expected a baby girl on December 7!

On Sunday, August 17, we were with Lighthouse Baptist Church in Winchester, VA. It was a blessing to meet many new people as well as to see some old friends. Pastor Martin allowed us to present and teach in Sunday School along with teaching in children’s church. Our hearts are truly overwhelmed to think of what God has done over the past year of deputation. Check back next week as we post a video mission’s update along with a year in review blog post. Sunday, July 20 brought us to Fellowship Baptist Church in Emlenton, PA. We enjoyed the opportunity to speak, sing, and present the work as well as hear Evangelist Ben Schettler preach. Pastor Langdon and his family were such gracious hosts, and they took care of all our needs as Landon was sick when we were in town.

After spending a few days in Downingtown, PA and attending our home church on Wednesday, we drove to Corning, NY to present and preach at Quakenbush Hill Baptist Church. The church family was so excited about the work of the Great Commission there and around the world. We had a wonderful day of fellowship with them.

We are now at 52% of our needed support, and we have been able to raise over half of our needed set up costs once we arrive on the field. God is good, all the time!

On Sunday, July 13, we had a meeting at two different churches. In the morning, we sang, presented, and preached at Faith Independent Baptist Church in Frostburg, MD. Pastor Burkholder was gracious in allowing us the time in his pulpit, and the church family took such good care of us. In the evening, we drove to Altoona, PA to present and preach at Riggles Gap Bible Church. We enjoyed spending time at the church and sharing our burden for God to do a work in the Dominican Republic.

Between meetings, we were able to stay and fellowship with Pastor Robert Harrison in Beaver, PA. He and his family were so gracious in hosting us in the beginning of the week. On Wednesday, July 16, Bristoria Baptist Church invited and hosted us in Holbrook, PA for their midweek service. Pastor Crawford planted the church and has been faithfully pastoring there for over 30 years. The church voted after the service to partner with us financially in our missionary work! On Thursday, July 17, we made our way to Pittsburgh, PA to share with Ambassador Baptist Church. It was good to see Pastor Dan Smith, our friend from college, as he labors alongside Dr. Montgomery.

God has been good to us in providing our needs as we travel on deputation. He truly supplies all the needs of His children according to His riches and glory by Jesus Christ.

On Sunday, June 29, we closed out the month with a meeting at 2nd Community Baptist Church in Newport News, VA. Pastor Hoose was gracious in inviting us to come and join them for their Sunday services and present the work in the Dominican Republic. The church was truly a family and showed excited interest in the ministry in the Dominican Republic.

On Sunday, July 6, we had another “double-header” with two engagements in western North Carolina. In the morning, we preached and presented at Welcome Home Baptist Church in Lenoir, NC. Pastor Wheeler has faithfully preached the gospel and ministered there in the community for many years. In the evening, we drove to Maiden, NC to take part in the evening service at Fellowship Baptist Church. We enjoyed seeing Pastor Smith and his family again as well as meeting his church family. It was again a pleasure to preach the Word of God and sing praises to His name!

We are continually amazed at how God leads and directs us along the deputation trail. He never ceases to strengthen or take care of His children. We serve a wonderful Savior!

On June 1, we drove to King George, VA to present and preach at Tabernacle Baptist Church. Pastor Sherman Davis was a gracious host, and we enjoyed being with the church family. It was also a privilege to meet some veteran missionaries to the Dominican Republic and to glean from them.

On June 8, we were able to drop in at Calvary Baptist Church in New Bern, NC. Pastor Bill Wingard followed the Lord’s leading and began World Wide New Testament Baptist Mission after seeing the need for the gospel to be preached in the Micronesian islands. We saw the attitude and heart of our mission agency fully displayed through the ministry and preaching of Pastor Wingard and his assistant Pastor Williams.

After spending Father’s Day with Tim’s dad, our next meeting was in Shelby, NC with Faith Baptist Church and World Wide’s Family Week. From Monday through Thursday many pastors and missionaries brought uplifting messages and lessons to encourage the World Wide family. While in North Carolina, we stayed with the Hills, friends and veteran missionaries we met in the Dominican Republic this past January.

On June 22, we had a “double-header” scheduled. In the morning, we were with Central Baptist Church in Waynesboro, VA. Pastor Vernon Berry has been faithfully preaching at the church for over 50 years, and he is excited about the future. In the evening, we attended New Hope Baptist Church in Roanoke, VA. Pastor David McNeill gave us the opportunity to preach and present the ministry to the Dominican Republic. The Lord guided our schedule and allowed us to meet four ladies who are traveling there this week on a mission trip.

It has been a joy to meet many believers and see many old friends as we journey on the deputation trail. Through it all, God has proved Himself faithful time and time again as He has led and provided for our family.

On Sunday, May 18, we traveled to Richmond, VA to present the ministry and preach at Lighthouse Baptist Church. We enjoyed the good time of fellowship during the service and afterward with Pastor Gooch and the church family. While driving to the evening meeting, we visited our friends and supporters at Central Baptist in Axton, VA.

On Thursday, May 22, Midway Bible Baptist Church asked us to come to Fishersville, VA and speak about our burden for the Dominican Republic. We enjoyed meeting and staying with Pastor Owens and his family.

On Sunday, May 25, we traveled to Strasburg, VA to share our burden and preach for Pastor Warren at Liberty Baptist Church. It was a joy to see the people’s heart for the need of the Dominican people to hear and receive the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Praise the Lord for bringing our support level to 46% with over half of our needed funds promised! Also, He has brought in more than $10,000 of our needed level for travel and set up costs on the field. Stephanie and I received another added blessings a number of weeks ago when we found out she was expecting our second child in December 2014. Please pray for a healthy pregnancy as we travel and a safe delivery later this year.
