On Sunday, February 22, we had the opportunity to take part in the evening service at Fellowship Baptist Church in Clayton, NC. We enjoyed meeting Dr. Ennis and the church family after we had heard so much about them. Tim was able to present the work and preach the evening service.
Next, we made our way through snow and ice to warm, sunny Florida. From Wednesday to Sunday, February 25 to March 1, we participated in the mission conference at New Testament Baptist Church where Tim’s sister and brother-in-law attend. We loved sharing about the work each weeknight of the conference as well as in the Sunday services. Pastor Trill, the staff, and the church took wonderful care of us.
On Wednesday, March 4, we drove south to Sarasota, FL to worship with Temple Baptist Church. Pastor Krachenfels serves alongside us at World Wide, and he had a part in our interview with the board. We enjoyed the fellowship with pastor, his wife, and the church members, and we were thankful for the opportunity to sing, present, and share from God’s eternal word.
After a schedule change, we dropped in at a few churches in the Clearwater, FL area on March 8. On Wednesday, March 11, we drove east across the bay to Southside Baptist Church in Tampa, FL. We enjoyed dinner with Pastor Nance and the opportunity to meet the friendly congregation. We presented the ministry as well as sang. Before the message, Pastor Nance and the church asked us to partner with them and represent the church in the Dominican Republic, and they gathered around us in prayer for the work!
We have returned to cooler temperature, but we are looking forward to our next meetings in Virginia, New Jersey, and North Carolina. We have now seen $26,000 come in for our outfit and passage fund, and we have heard from a few churches of their desire to support us financially! Praise our Great God!
