Pennsylvania and New York

Pastor Langdon at Fellowship Baptist in Emlenton, PASunday, July 20 brought us to Fellowship Baptist Church in Emlenton, PA. We enjoyed the opportunity to speak, sing, and present the work as well as hear Evangelist Ben Schettler preach. Pastor Langdon and his family were such gracious hosts, and they took care of all our needs as Landon was sick when we were in town.

After spending a few days in Downingtown, PA and attending our home church on Wednesday, we drove to Corning,Preaching at Quackenbush Hill Baptist in Corning, NY NY to present and preach at Quakenbush Hill Baptist Church. The church family was so excited about the work of the Great Commission there and around the world. We had a wonderful day of fellowship with them.

We are now at 52% of our needed support, and we have been able to raise over half of our needed set up costs once we arrive on the field. God is good, all the time!

Western Maryland and Pennsylvania

Faith Independent Baptist in Frostburg, MDOn Sunday, July 13, we had a meeting at two different churches. In the morning, we sang, presented, and preached atRiggles Gap Bible in Altoona, PA Faith Independent Baptist Church in Frostburg, MD. Pastor Burkholder was gracious in allowing us the time in his pulpit, and the church family took such good care of us. In the evening, we drove to Altoona, PA to present and preach at Riggles Gap Bible Church. We enjoyed spending time at the church and sharing our burden for God to do a work in the Dominican Republic.

Bristoria Baptist in Holbrook, PABetween meetings, we were able to stay and fellowship with Pastor Robert Harrison in Beaver, PA. He and his family were so gracious in hosting us in the beginning of the week. On Wednesday, July 16, Bristoria Baptist Church invited and hosted us in Holbrook, PA for their midweek service. Pastor CrawAmbassador Baptist in Pittsburgh, PAford planted the church and has been faithfully pastoring there for over 30 years. The church voted after the service to partner with us financially in our missionary work! On Thursday, July 17, we made our way to Pittsburgh, PA to share with Ambassador Baptist Church. It was good to see Pastor Dan Smith, our friend from college, as he labors alongside Dr. Montgomery.

God has been good to us in providing our needs as we travel on deputation. He truly supplies all the needs of His children according to His riches and glory by Jesus Christ.

Finishing our Virginia and North Carolina Excursions

254On Sunday, June 29, we closed out the month with a meeting at 2nd Community Baptist Church in Newport News, VA. Pastor Hoose was gracious in inviting us to come and join them for their Sunday services and present the work in the Dominican Republic. The church was truly a family and showed excited interest in the ministry in the Dominican Republic.

On Sunday, July 6, we had another “douWelcome Home Baptist in Lenoir, NCble-header” with two engagements in western North Carolina. In the morning, we preached and presented at Welcome Home Baptist Church in Lenoir, NC. Pastor Wheeler has faithfully preached the gospel and Fellowship Baptist in Maiden, NCministered there in the community for many years. In the evening, we drove to Maiden, NC to take part in the evening service at Fellowship Baptist Church. We enjoyed seeing Pastor Smith and his family again as well as meeting his church family. It was again a pleasure to preach the Word of God and sing praises to His name!

We are continually amazed at how God leads and directs us along the deputation trail. He never ceases to strengthen or take care of His children. We serve a wonderful Savior!

June Travels

Tabernacle Baptist in King George, VAOn June 1, we drove to King George, VA to present and preach at Tabernacle Baptist Church. Pastor Sherman Davis was a gracious host, and we enjoyed being with the church family. It was also a privilege to meet some veteran missionaries to the Dominican Republic and to glean from them.

On June 8, we were able to drop in at Calvary Baptist Church in New Bern, NC. Pastor Bill Wingard followed the Lord’s leading and began World Wide New Testament Baptist Mission after seeing the need for the gospel to be preached in the Micronesian islands. We saw the attitude and heart of our mission agency fully displayed through the ministry and preaching of Pastor Wingard and his assistant Pastor Williams.

After spending Father’s Day with Tim’s dad, our next meeting was inDr. Danny Whetstone and Pastor Bill Wingard Shelby, NC with Faith Baptist Church and World Wide’s Family Week. From Monday through Thursday many pastors and missionaries brought uplifting messages and lessons to encourage the World Wide family. While in North Carolina, we stayed with the Hills, friends and veteran missionaries we met in the Dominican Republic this past January.

Central Baptist in Wayneboro, VAOn June 22, we had a “double-header” scheduled. In the morning, we were with Central Baptist Church in Waynesboro, VA. Pastor Vernon Berry has been faithfully preaching at the church for New Hope Baptist and Pastor McNeillover 50 years, and he is excited about the future. In the evening, we attended New Hope Baptist Church in Roanoke, VA. Pastor David McNeill gave us the opportunity to preach and present the ministry to the Dominican Republic. The Lord guided our schedule and allowed us to meet four ladies who are traveling there this week on a mission trip.

It has been a joy to meet many believers and see many old friends as we journey on the deputation trail. Through it all, God has proved Himself faithful time and time again as He has led and provided for our family.

Central and Northern Virginia

Pastor Warren and Lighthouse BaptistOn Sunday, May 18, we traveled to Richmond, VA to present the ministry and preach at Lighthouse Baptist Church. We enjoyed the good time of fellowship during the service and afterward with Pastor Gooch and the church family. While driving to the evening meeting, we visited our friends and supporters at Central Baptist in Axton, VA.

On Thursday, May 22, Midway Bible Baptist ChurPastor Owen and Midway Bible Baptistch asked us to come to Fishersville, VA and speak about our burden for the Dominican Republic. We enjoyed meeting and staying with Pastor Owens and his family.

Liberty Baptist ChurchOn Sunday, May 25, we traveled to Strasburg, VA to share our burden and preach for Pastor Warren at Liberty Baptist Church. It was a joy to see the people’s heart for the need of the Dominican people to hear and receive the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Praise the Lord for bringing our support level to 46% with over half of our needed funds promised! Also, He has brought in more than $10,000 of our needed level for travel and set up costs on the field. Stephanie and I received another added blessings a number of weeks ago when we found out she was expecting our second child in December 2014. Please pray for a healthy pregnancy as we travel and a safe delivery later this year.

Back in the Northeast

Chichester Baptist ChurchOn Sunday, April 27, we were able to teach, present, sing, and preach at Chichester Baptist Church in Ashton, PA. We enjoyed meeting Pastor Winters and the church family, and it was great to spend some time with fellow Crown alumni James and Rachel Dethmers as they labor alongside the church. In the evening service, we had the rare privilege of attending and preaching at our church in Pennsylvania. There is no place like your home church.

Riverdale Baptist ChurchOn Sunday, May 4, we were with Pastor Tim Flynn and Riverdale Baptist Church in Riverdale, New Jersey. We were thankful for the sweet fellowship time with the people as well as meeting and visiting with a Dominican lady in their church.

God has protected us as we have driven many miles over the past few months. Also, it has been amazing to see Him supply the needs we have for set up costs once we arrive in the Dominican. Visit our ministry needs page to see what He has already supplied!

Virginia to Maryland and Back

Gateway Baptist in Blacksburg, VAOn Wednesday, April 9, we had the privilege to attend my brother’s church in Blacksburg, VA, Gateway Baptist Church. Pastor Souther was gracious to allow us to kick off his mission emphasis through presenting, singing, and preaching. It was a joy to be in this thriving ministry just a few miles away from Virginia Tech.

On my birthday, Sunday, April 13, Pastor Roger Sebrel invited usHRIBC to join them for their Sunday services at Hampton Roads Independent Baptist Church and talk about the work in the Dominican Republic. Pastor and I met years ago when I interned at a church in Hampton, VA, and he was true to his word in inviting us to present once we started deputation.

image (2)From Wednesday to Friday, April 16-18, we traveled to and attended the mission conference at Ambassador Baptist in Frederick, MD. Pastor Fry, the church, and the other missionaries were an encouragement to us during the conference. On Thursday and Friday morning, we were able to visit one new church plant and one reopened church in neighboring cities to help them evangelize and spread the news about their ministries.

Praise the Lord for His faithfulness as we travel. Over the past few weeks, we have received calls and messages from a number of churches that we had visited in the past few months notifying us of our new status as one of their missionaries. Based on those numbers, we will be at 46% support once it begins in the next month. God does provide!

All Over the East Coast

049These past few weeks have come and gone quickly! From March 23-25, we were with New Testament Baptist Church in Chambersburg, PA. Pastor Fleck was such a gracious host, and we enjoyed meeting the church family. We were even able to go visit Gettysburg with the other missionaries.

On Sunday, March 30, we were able to preach and present the work at Fundamental Bible Church in Dushore, PA. It was a blessing to meet Pastor Klim and his family. They even brought their Sunday meal to the church for us to enjoy with them.

From March 31-April 2, we attended Missionary Orientation School for our mission board heldJockey's Ridge in Nag's Head on the campus of Ambassador Baptist College. The fellowship with the staff and other missionaries was a time of refreshing and building new friendships.

From April 3-5, we traveled to Manteo, NC to take part in the mission conference held at Roanoke Island Baptist Church. Though we had never met Pastor Baxley and his family before, we found out we knew many of the same people, and there was a kindred spirit.

New Life Baptist Church in Greer, ScOn Sunday, April 6, Pastor Miller invited us to come and present the ministry to his church, New Life Baptist Church in Greer, SC. It is always a joy to be able to preach and share God’s Word with His people.

We are thankful for the Lord’s protection and strength as we have driven many miles and attended many meetings. We are amazed at His provision for us. During the last month, we have been able to raise over $5,000 for our set up costs once we arrive on the field. Old and New Friends

Landon and Mickey MooFrom February 26 to March 2, our family attended the mission’s conference at Community Baptist Church in Elberon, VA. Pastor Gary Ross was Tim’s youth pastor while he was in middle school, and it was a joy to spend the week with him and his family.  Tim was privileged to preach on two occasions, teach the teenagers, and present the work. It was a blessing to see the church’s commitment to faith promise and to partner with our ministry.

From March 9-12, we took part of the mission’s conferenceLighthouse Baptist Church at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Williamsport, MD. We loved meeting Pastor and Mrs. Chapman along with the church family, and we were thankful for the opportunity for us to give testimonies, teach, present, and sing. It was amazing to witness the heart of the church for missions while only in their second year of meeting.

Regular Baptist ChurchRight on the heels of the previous conference, we drove to northern Pennsylvania to Smethport  to participate in the conference at Regular Baptist Church from March 13-16 with Pastor Jack Gregg. It was wonderful to see the spirit of the church and their desire to serve the Lord and to take part in His mission of reaching the world with the gospel. Again, Tim enjoyed preaching, presenting, and teaching the teenagers.

We praise the Lord for His protection and strength as we travel. Also, we are now at 37% of our support with more promised in the past few weeks to begin in the coming months!
